Largest Protest in U.S. History

On January 21st, 2017, the day after President Trump’s inauguration, an estimated 2.9 million Americans took to the streets to protest their new president. Now known as the “Women’s March”, it has been reported as the single biggest one day protest. Countless cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles, Denver, Manhattan, and many more participated in this peaceful protest that only lasted one day. The reason for the protests were because the American people wanted to show the U.S. government that they will not stand for what the Trump administration is trying to accomplish. So far President Donald Trump has not addressed any opinion regarding the protests against him.

Joe Biden Awarded Medal of Freedom

On Thursday January 13th, 2017, President Barrack Obama invited over Vice President Joe Biden for a secret and private farewell. As it turned out, President Obama surprised Vice President Biden with the highest medal of honor, the Medal of Freedom. A tearful Joe Biden accepts the award with the highest of gratitude and follows the acceptance with a speech addressing the stressful circumstances his counterpart, Obama, had to deal with during his 8 year run as president. He goes on to talk about how Barrack Obama handle these stressful times with intense care and extreme composure that he was overall impressed with how he could deal these issues with such calmness and intelligence. The room bursts into a roar of applause for Joe Biden as the speech comes to an end.
